Thiong'o brings over a decade of expertise in financial journalism and public relations to the table. His rich background includes crafting and executing strategic communication programs for notable organizations, such as the International Trade Centre, KCB Group, Vision 2030 (Kenya’s economic blueprint), the African Union, The Economist Conferences, IMF, Safaricom, LG Electronics, the CIC Insurance Group, First Lady’s Half Marathon, the Privatization Commission, and Home Afrika, among others.

His journey in integrated marketing and communication evolved through roles at reputable agencies like Gina Din Corporate Communications, Ogilvy East Africa, Dentsu Aegis Network, Redhouse Public Relations, and Publicis One. Thiong'o's newsroom experience stems from his tenure as a financial journalist for national newspapers and international magazines. Notably, he served as a former part-time contributor to Techonomy, a business and technology online publication jointly owned by Forbes, and held the position of Technology Editor at Fortune Magazine.

Thiong'o holds a journalism qualification from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK, and is an alumnus of BMIA Financial Journalism, Strathmore University, Thomson Reuters, and the Wealth of Nations program. Currently pursuing an MSc in Strategic Public Relations at the University of Stirling, he is also a proud member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya. Beyond his professional pursuits, Thiong'o dons multiple creative hats as a fine artist, caricaturist, animator, and sound aficionado.
